- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well.
- Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and coat them evenly with the spice mixture.
- Sprinkle chia seeds over the coated chicken, pressing gently to help them adhere.
- Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry the chicken for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
