Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 450 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Spelt
  • 1 cup spelt grains
  • 2 bustina olive oil
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino onion powder
  • 1 cucchiaino smoked paprika
  • 1 cucchiaino Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cup chicken broth for cooking spelt
  • 1 bustina Fresh parsley for garnish, optional

Method
 

  1. Rinse the spelt grains under cold water. In a medium saucepan, combine spelt and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until tender. Drain any excess liquid and set aside.
  2. While the spelt cooks, preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  3. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken breasts evenly with the mixture.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 12 minutes.
  5. After 12 minutes, flip the chicken and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve over the cooked spelt and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
