Ingredients

Duck Breasts
  • 2 pieces duck breasts about 6-8 ounces each
  • 1 cucchiaino salt to taste
  • 1 cucchiaino black pepper to taste
  • 1 cucchiaio olive oil
  • 1 cucchiaino herbs e.g., thyme or rosemary for seasoning, optional

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Score the skin of each duck breast in a crosshatch pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.
  3. Season both sides of the duck breasts generously with salt and black pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and rub it into the skin.
  4. Place the duck breasts skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8 minutes.
  5. After 8 minutes, flip the duck breasts so they are skin-side up and cook for an additional 7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  6. Remove the duck breasts from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

For crispier skin, you can increase the cooking time by 1-2 minutes, checking frequently to avoid overcooking. Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a light salad.
