- Place the eel fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes.

- Remove the eel from the marinade and season with salt and pepper. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Place the eel fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side down if applicable.

- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a minute. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
