Emu Steaks
  • 2 pieces emu steaks about 6 oz each
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino onion powder
  • 1 cucchiaino smoked paprika
  • 1 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.5 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 10 g fresh herbs optional, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the emu steaks.
  4. Place the seasoned emu steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  5. Cook the emu steaks at 400°F for 8 minutes. Flip the steaks halfway through the cooking time.
  6. Check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C). If needed, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, then serve.
