Breading
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino paprika
  • 1/2 cucchiaino salt
  • 1/4 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 1 x large egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 2 x medium potatoes, cut into fries (about 2 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • as needed Optional: tartar sauce and lemon wedges for serving

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • 3 Shallow Bowls

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg.
  4. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Dredge each fish fillet first in the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Press gently to adhere.
  6. In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil and a pinch of salt.
  7. Place the fries in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes at 400°F, shaking halfway through.
  8. After 10 minutes, push the fries to one side and place the coated fish fillets in the basket. Cook everything for an additional 15 minutes, flipping the fish halfway through the cooking time.
  9. Once done, check that the fish is cooked through and the fries are crispy. If needed, add an extra 2-3 minutes for desired crispiness.
