Mashua Preparation
  • 450 g mashua, washed and scrubbed
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 1 cucchiaino sea salt
  • 0.5 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 0.5 cucchiaino garlic powder optional
  • 0.5 cucchiaino paprika optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Cut the mashua into uniform pieces, about 1 to 1.5 inches thick.
  3. In a mixing bowl, toss the mashua pieces with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  4. Place the seasoned mashua in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd.
  5. Air fry for 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  6. Check for tenderness; if needed, cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until golden and crispy on the outside.
  7. Remove from air fryer, let cool slightly, and serve.
