Ingredients

Veal Cutlets
  • 4 pieces veal cutlets about 6 oz each
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably Italian-style
  • 0.5 cucchiaino salt
  • 0.5 cucchiaino black pepper
  • 1 cucchiaino garlic powder
  • 1 cucchiaino dried oregano
  • 1 ml cooking spray or olive oil spray for spraying

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Set up a breading station: Place flour in one shallow dish, beat the eggs in a second dish, and combine breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano in a third dish.
  3. Dredge each veal cutlet in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Lightly spray both sides of the breaded cutlets with cooking spray.
  5. Place the cutlets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
  6. Air fry for 5 minutes, then flip the cutlets, and air fry for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove the cutlets from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider double-breading the cutlets by repeating the egg and breadcrumb process before air frying.
