  • 2 ripe bananas sliced
  • 1 can crushed pineapple 20 oz, drained
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries halved
  • 2 cups whipped topping or whipped cream
  • Extra banana slices for garnish
  • Chopped nuts for garnish
  • Maraschino cherries or chocolate drizzle optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Layer sliced bananas evenly on the bottom of the dish. Spoon the crushed pineapple on top.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit.
  4. Top with chopped pecans or walnuts, then drizzle melted butter evenly across the entire surface.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling. Let cool slightly.
  6. Once cooled, spread whipped topping evenly over the cake. Garnish with fresh strawberries, banana slices, chopped nuts, and cherries or drizzle if using.
