Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or any cheese of your choice
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Stir in cheese.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.
