Ingredients
  

Sauce
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 480 ml heavy cream or half-and-half for a lighter version
  • 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • tsp Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg optional, for added depth
Pasta and Chicken
  • 340 g ziti or penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast shredded or diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking chicken, if needed
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • tsp Salt and black pepper to taste
Toppings
  • 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg if using.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
