- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the chocolate cake mix and chocolate pudding mix evenly into the dish. Do not stir.
- Pour the milk over the dry ingredients, then drizzle melted butter across the top.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over everything.
- Place in oven and bake for 40–45 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then scoop into bowls. Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
