  • 1 box chocolate cake mix about 15.25 oz
  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix 3.9 oz
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 stick unsalted butter melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the chocolate cake mix and chocolate pudding mix evenly into the dish. Do not stir.
  3. Pour the milk over the dry ingredients, then drizzle melted butter across the top.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over everything.
  5. Place in oven and bake for 40–45 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes, then scoop into bowls. Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
