Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. For the filling, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and sprinkle the filling evenly over the dough. Roll up the dough and slice into 24 pieces.
  8. Place slices on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
