- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Layer the sliced potatoes and onions in a baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the milk, cheddar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Pour the cheese sauce over the potatoes and onions in the baking dish.
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then place them on top of the potato mixture.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour, or until the potatoes are tender and the pork chops are cooked through.
