Ingredients
  

Cranberry Wassail
  • 1893 ml apple cider
  • 1893 ml cranberry juice
  • 240 ml lemon juice
  • 296 ml pineapple juice
  • 1 large orange, thinly sliced
  • 24 pieces whole cloves
  • 60 ml clover honey
  • 100 g white sugar
  • 4 pieces cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cucchiaino ground nutmeg
  • 1 cucchiaino ground allspice
  • 0.5 cucchiaino ground ginger
Garnish
  • 12 pieces fresh mint leaves
  • 12 slices orange slices for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a large saucepan or pot, combine apple cider, cranberry juice, lemon juice, pineapple juice, orange slices, cloves, honey, sugar, and cinnamon sticks.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer.
  3. Add nutmeg, ginger, and allspice to the pot and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve the wassail warm and garnish each cup with a mint leaf and an orange slice.
  5. For a more robust flavor, refrigerate the wassail for a couple of days and reheat on the stove before serving.
