Pumpkin Mixture
  • 15 ounce pumpkin purée canned
  • 12 fluid ounce evaporated milk
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
Topping
  • 15.25 ounce yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the pumpkin purée, evaporated milk, sugar, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice until well combined; then pour the mixture into the prepared dish.
  3. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the top of the pumpkin mixture, followed by drizzling the melted butter and topping it with chopped walnuts.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the dessert to cool completely before cutting it into 24 squares. Enjoy!
