  • 1892 ml fresh apple cider
  • 240 ml apple brandy
  • 55 g brown sugar
  • 15 g brown sugar
  • 60 ml honey
  • 1 cucchiaino ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 cucchiaino ground ginger
  • 0.5 cucchiaino ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 cucchiaino ground cloves
  • 0.5 cucchiaino ground black pepper
  • 1 pizzico salt
  • 10 strisce thin strips orange zest
  • 10 sticks small cinnamon sticks

Method
 

  1. In a pot over medium-high heat, combine apple cider, apple brandy, 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, pepper, and salt.
  2. Simmer the mixture until the flavors combine, about 10 minutes.
  3. Pour the apple cider mixture into heat-proof mugs.
  4. Twist the orange zest strips between your fingers to release the essential oils; drop 1 into each mug.
  5. Add 1 cinnamon stick to each mug.

Notes
