Ingredients
  

Dessert Base
  • 1 16 ounce can chocolate syrup
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 19 ice cream sandwiches
  • 1 12 ounce container frozen whipped topping thawed
  • 1 cup salted peanuts

  • 9x13-inch dish

Method
 

  1. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate syrup in the microwave for about 2 minutes on high, stirring every 30 seconds until hot (do not let it boil).
  2. Stir peanut butter into the hot chocolate until smooth and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
  3. Line the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish with a layer of ice cream sandwiches.
  4. Spread half of the whipped topping over the sandwiches.
  5. Spoon half of the chocolate and peanut butter mixture over the whipped topping.
  6. Sprinkle half of the peanuts on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Freeze the dessert until firm, for at least 1 hour.
  9. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
