- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper, sauté until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli pieces to the pot, stirring to coat them in the oil and garlic mixture. Cook until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
- Return the cooked pasta to the pot. Toss everything together with the grated parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Serve warm.
