Ingredients
  

Cookies
  • 113 g butter, softened
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla
  • 0.25 tsp almond extract
  • 120 g flour
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 50 g strawberry jelly

  • Silicone Mat

Method
 

  1. Line a large baking sheet with a silicone mat and make room in your fridge for a cookie sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer on HIGH until light and fluffy.
  3. Stream in the sugar while beating.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract very well.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the flour and salt on the dough. Mix until it comes together.
  6. Scoop out 2 teaspoons of dough, roll into a ball, and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Dip your pinky in flour and lay it sideways on each dough ball to form half of a heart. Repeat to complete the heart.
  8. Place 1/2 teaspoon of jelly on each heart.
  9. Chill the cookies in the fridge for one hour before baking.
  10. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 12 minutes or until edges start to turn golden brown.
  11. Let the cookies cool completely on the baking pan before removing.
