Ingredients
  

Casserole
  • 4 ½ cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • cup milk
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pecan Streusel
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, white sugar, 1/2 cup melted butter, milk, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. Spread this mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and flour, then cut in 1/3 cup of butter until crumbly. Stir in chopped pecans.
  4. Sprinkle the streusel mixture over the sweet potatoes in the baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
