Ingredients
  

Mulled Cider
  • 1 large orange
  • 3 unit whole cloves
  • 687 ml fresh orange juice
  • 1893 ml apple juice
  • 40 g raisins
  • 1 unit cinnamon stick

Method
 

  1. Peel the skin from the orange, leaving the bitter white pith behind.
  2. Stick the cloves into the orange peel.
  3. Squeeze the juice from the orange and add it to the 2-3/4 cups of orange juice.
  4. Combine all the ingredients in a large nonreactive pan and bring to a boil over high heat.
  5. Remove from heat, cover, and let it stand for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  6. Serve the mulled cider warm or cold.
